Michael D. Fox came to Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky (SMGG) in 2008. Prior to that he was a shareholder in another large Pittsburgh-based law firm and a member of the general counsel’s staff of  Westinghouse Electric Corporation At SMGG, Mr. Fox acts as Counsel with a focus on business transactions, financing, workouts, and alternative dispute resolution for complex business and financial disputes.

Mr. Fox’s experience includes venture financing and private securities offerings; mergers and acquisitions; joint ventures; business development; business workouts; technology development, licensing and commercialization; product and service distribution; franchising; international law; computer law; corporate law; exit strategy planning and trade regulation. His client base consists of middle market and early stage companies, and investors in the technology, manufacturing, service, and financial industries.

Mr. Fox and his wife, Gerry, live in the Squirrel Hill of Pittsburgh and have a son, Tad, and a daughter, Amanda.
