Patrick T. Sherry

Patrick T. Sherry is a Senior Associate at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky.

Patrick is a civil litigator assisting clients with a wide variety of complex commercial, business, and real estate disputes. Mr. Sherry has represented individuals and businesses of all sizes in shareholder disputes, shareholder derivative actions, construction litigation, breach of contract, unfair competition, non-competes, mechanics’ liens, collection matters, general liability tort claims, defamation, and professional liability actions. He also represents clients in the healthcare industry, including health insurers and healthcare systems, and has litigated numerous matters on issues ranging from reimbursement to ERISA to bad faith.

Patrick has an extensive array of courtroom experience, ranging from successfully securing multi-million dollar verdicts for clients in jury trials to briefing and arguing dispositive motions and appeals in both state and federal court.

He graduated from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While at Pitt, he served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Lisa Pupo Lenihan of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

Prior to law school, Patrick graduated from Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Science in Physics, where he played on the men’s golf team.

Outside his practice of law, Patrick is an avid golfer. He was a professional caddie on the PGA Tour and appeared in over 150 events, including the 2010 PGA Championship, 2012 British Open, and 2018 John Deere Classic. Patrick is also an accomplished guitar player.

Patrick is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association and resides in the Fox Chapel area of Pittsburgh.
