Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky (SMGG) is pleased to announce that its $4.6 million jury verdict in Cersosimo, et al. v. Keystone Grp. of Comp. LLC, et al., has been recognized by TopVerdict among the Top 100 Commercial Litigation Verdicts in the United States in 2025. The verdict ranked No. 68 nationally and was the second-largest Pennsylvania verdict included on the list.

SMGG attorneys David A. Strassburger and Patrick T. Sherry secured the unanimous verdict in September 2025 following a two-week trial in the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

The case involved a minority member “squeeze-out” from an entity holding a permit to operate medical marijuana dispensaries in Western Pennsylvania. $2.64 million of the  $4.6 million jury award was for punitive damages.

This national recognition reflects the firm’s commitment to representing clients in complex, high-stakes commercial litigation and securing meaningful results on their behalf.
