Gilda M. Arroyo

Gilda M. Arroyo is a Director at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky who focuses on counseling non-profits, municipal authorities, and small businesses, representing HOAs, COAs, and Cooperatives, and general litigation. She has represented individual and business clients in commercial, real estate, products liability, personal injury, and immigration matters. Ms. Arroyo has extensive experience defending local and multinational companies in complex litigation matters.

Gilda enjoys counseling non-profits, municipal authorities, and small businesses on day-to-day legal and operational challenges with an emphasis on minimizing risk and avoiding unnecessary litigation. She also advises HOAs, COAs, and Cooperatives on their governing documents and has experience assisting individuals, families, and businesses with various immigration matters.

Gilda is active in the local, state, and national legal community. As a law student at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law, she was a senior editor of the UDC Law Review and completed over 600 hours of pro bono legal work for low-income individuals. She is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, a trustee of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation, a former Delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates, and has been recognized nationally as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow.

When she is not in the office, Gilda can usually be found exploring the outdoors or at a new art exhibit, tending her bonsai trees, or volunteering in the local community.

  • Drafted and reviewed service and vendor contracts, leases, and licenses for various non-profits, municipal authorities, and small businesses.
  • Advised non-profits, municipal authorities, and small businesses on regulatory matters.
  • Represented associations and developers in litigation and other matters involving Pennsylvania’s Uniform Condominium Act and Uniform Planned Community Act.
  • Defended transportation and logistics company throughout Pennsylvania and the mid-Atlantic region in matters involving personal injury and property damage claims.
  • Defended multinational manufacturer in product and premises liability matters.
  • Represented lenders, secured creditors, oil and gas companies, and other parties in interest in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, Chapter 12, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Represented clients in initiating residential and commercial foreclosures and confession of judgment proceedings throughout Pennsylvania.
  • Represented employers seeking to sponsor foreign workers in specialty occupations (H-1B.)
  • Represented couples and individuals petitioning for marriage based lawful permanent residency and naturalization.
