Alexis M. Wheeler

Alexis M. Wheeler is a Director at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. She works primarily in the areas of municipal law, real estate, and investigations. Alexis started with SMGG as a law clerk and was asked to join the firm as an associate after graduating from law school.

While at SMGG, Alexis has gained significant experience in service to local governments and land use. Alexis has assisted in the representation of individuals in land use disputes as well as the representation of local governing bodies in matters concerning zoning, land use, Right to Know Law, and administrative law and procedure. Alexis has assisted in the drafting, interpretation, and enforcement of local ordinances. She is very familiar with Pennsylvania private and public road law.

Alexis is a member of the real estate group with experience in land development, boundary-line law, and easement/right-of-way acquisition and disputes.

Alexis graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While at Pitt, Alexis completed the John P. Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate Program and served as editor-in-chief of the Pittsburgh Journal of Technology Law and Policy. Alexis also spent time as a teaching assistant for the Legal Analysis and Writing program as well as writing and editing for the online legal news and commentary service, JURIST. Upon graduation, Alexis received a community service award for her participation in the Pitt Law Veterans Practicum.

Outside of the courtroom, Alexis enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Alexis grew up in Erie, PA.
