Alexis M. Wheeler

Alexis M. Wheeler is a Senior Associate at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. She works primarily in the areas of municipal law and real estate. Ms. Wheeler also works closely with the litigation practice group and the investigation practice group. Ms. Wheeler started with SMGG as a Law Clerk and was asked to join the firm as an Associate after graduation from law school.

While at SMGG, Ms. Wheeler has gained significant experience in service to local governments and land use. Ms. Wheeler has assisted in the representation of individuals in land use disputes as well as the representation of local governing bodies in matters concerning zoning, land use, Right to Know Law, and administrative law and procedure. Ms. Wheeler has assisted in the drafting, interpretation, and enforcement of local ordinances. She is very familiar with Pennsylvania private and public road law.

Ms. Wheeler is a member of the real estate group with experience in land development, boundary-line law, and easement/right-of-way acquisition and disputes.

Ms. Wheeler graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. While at Pitt, Ms. Wheeler completed the John P. Gismondi Civil Litigation Certificate Program and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Pittsburgh Journal of Technology Law and Policy. Ms. Wheeler also spent time as a Teaching Assistant for the Legal Analysis and Writing program as well as writing and editing for the online legal news and commentary service, JURIST. Upon graduation, Ms. Wheeler received a community service award for her participation in the Pitt Law Veterans Practicum.

Outside of the courtroom, Ms. Wheeler enjoys cooking and spending time with her family and friends.

Ms. Wheeler grew up in Erie, PA.
