Michael Nicolella to Speak at Pittsburgh Foundation Board Governance Workshop

Shareholder Michael Nicolella will present at the Pittsburgh Foundation’s upcoming Board Governance Workshop on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, from 9 a.m. to noon at the National Aviary.

This session, part of the Foundation’s “More Than Money” initiative, will focus on the legal responsibilities of nonprofit boards of directors. Attendees will gain practical governance tools, a clearer understanding of board roles and responsibilities, and simple structures to help boards operate effectively — even with limited resources.

Participants will also learn strategies to strengthen oversight, support staff and volunteer leadership, and maintain a strong focus on organizational mission.

The “More Than Money” initiative supports nonprofit leaders by providing non-financial resources, including workshops, networking opportunities, technical assistance, and community partnerships designed to advance equitable practices and strengthen under-resourced organizations.
