Gilda M. Arroyo Receives El Sol Award

Gilda M. Arroyo, Director at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky, received the El Sol Award from Allegheny County Bar Association Hispanic Attorneys Committee. The presentation will took place during the ACBA’s Hispanic Heritage Month celebration.

Given annually since 2008, the El Sol Award honors individuals who exemplify leadership, service, and commitment to advancing the Hispanic community in Pittsburgh and beyond.

Gilda is recognized not only for her exceptional legal practice — advising individuals, families, municipalities, and small businesses on a wide range of matters — but also for her tireless dedication to mentoring, volunteering, and strengthening the legal community.

“I have been a part of the [Hispanic Attorneys] Committee for about 13 years,” Gilda said. “I’ve seen the past awardees and am humbled to be on the same list with them.”

Gilda is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association. She has served as a member of the Judiciary Committee and as Chair, Co-Chair, and Vice-Chair of the Hispanic Attorneys Committee. She is currently Vice Chair of the Hispanic Attorneys Committee and is a council member for the ACBA’s Real Property Section. She is the current Secretary of the Allegheny County Bar Foundation and is a former Delegate to the Pennsylvania Bar Association House of Delegates. She is also a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Fellow.

This well-deserved honor highlights Gilda’s exemplary contributions to the legal profession and the community.
