The Women’s Initiative
Creating a Culture of Women Supporting Women

Our objective is to promote the personal and professional advancement of women, to recognize and address women specific issues, and increase awareness for the value of women becoming leaders in businesses and within communities.

Established in 1919, the firm of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky now includes 15 female lawyers (over 40% of the attorneys), including five shareholders. We have long recognized the value of attracting and retaining talented women within our industry.

However, we also recognize that all industries — and every community — will benefit from women rising to leadership roles. Through counsel, education, support, mentoring and sponsorship, our successful women are committed to advocating and assisting females of all experience levels across many fields.  We value and support women business leaders and owners throughout the region and further advocate for further advancement of women in the workplace.

Our Women’s Initiative program exists to foster a culture in which women support women.  We share with our community inspiring and supportive information showing the advancement and promotion of women in the community and the values they stand for.
