The Women’s Initiative

Creating a Culture of Supporting Women

Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky proudly supports our Women’s Initiative program and recognizes the contributions of women in our community and in the legal field.

The objectives of the Women’s Initiative are to promote the personal and professional advancement of women, to recognize and address issues affecting women, and to increase awareness for the value of women as leaders in the workplace and in our communities. The program accomplishes these objectives by offering counsel, mentorship, support, and education. SMGG annually hosts Women Lead the Way, a panel and speaker event moderated by our firm and participated in by women across a range of experiences and professions.

Established in 1919, SMGG has long recognized that there is value in not only attracting women within our industry but retaining those women and supporting their personal and professional development. As of 2022, our firm is majority women-owned, and about half of our attorneys are women.

From the experiences of our own growth, we recognize that all fields — and every community — can benefit from women rising in leadership and that every industry has the potential to do better. Our attorneys are committed to advocating for and assisting women from all walks of life in meeting their own goals and objectives. We value and support business and community leaders throughout the region and further advocate for the advancement of women in their personal lives and in the workplace.

Our Women’s Initiative program exists to foster a culture of supporting women personally and professionally. SMGG aims to grow and maintain the success of women across all fields of work so that women are empowered to not only participate, but also to lead.
