Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky is pleased to welcome Mohammed S. Burny as an associate in the firm’s Real Estate, Litigation, and Public Sector & Nonprofit practice groups.
Mohammed joins the firm with a diverse background spanning private practice, municipal government, and legislative affairs. He represents developers, businesses, municipalities, and nonprofit organizations in matters involving land use, zoning, municipal law, real estate development, and commercial litigation. His experience working with both public and private sector clients gives him valuable insight into the regulatory and legal issues that shape development projects and local government initiatives.
Mohammed first joined SMGG as a law clerk, where he worked alongside the firm’s attorneys on a variety of legal matters. He later served as Chief of Staff to Pittsburgh City Councilor Bobby Wilson, playing an integral role in developing legislation focused on economic development, housing, and public policy. Now returning to SMGG as an associate after gaining valuable experience in both government and private practice, Mohammed brings a unique perspective and a deep commitment to serving clients throughout Western Pennsylvania.
