Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky Congratulate Attorneys Named in Pittsburgh Business Times ‘20 People to Know in Law’ List

Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky (SMGG), a full-service law firm in Pittsburgh, is excited to congratulate shareholder Danielle Dietrich and former SMGG shareholder Pamela Connelly for being named in the Pittsburgh Business Times ‘20 People to Know in Law’ list for 2021.

20 People to Know connects the Pittsburgh-area business community with influential businesspeople working in key industries. This ‘20 People to Know’ list focuses on legal professionals in the Pittsburgh region. These listings are not meant to be comprehensive or a ranking, but rather an introduction to some of the behind-the-scenes players, key leaders and up-and-comers.

“We want to extend our sincere congratulations to Danielle and Pam for being chosen as two of the 20 individuals chosen for this prestigious list,” said David Strassburger, managing partner at SMGG. “The firm thanks Dietrich and Connelly for their outstanding service and for making SMGG a well-known and trusted law firm in the city of Pittsburgh. SMGG recognizes that its past and present attorneys help to propel its success, and are the reason why the firm has been included in the U.S. News & World Report Rankings ‘Best Law Firms in America’ list for the seven consecutive years.”

Danielle Dietrich joined SMGG as a shareholder in June of 2020 and has been a vibrant and active team member at the firm. In November 2020, Dietrich was appointed as Chief Diversity Officer of the firm and continues to serve her clients and the firm while upholding her core values of equality and diversity. Dietrich’s practice involves representing women – and diverse-owned businesses, small businesses, health care and elder law in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and West Virginia. Her practice also includes serving as an outside general counsel to businesses that are too small to have a full-time post.

Pam Connelly, was very recently a shareholder at SMGG, and is now senior vice president for legal affairs and general counsel for Duquesne University. During her time with SMGG, she specialized in higher education and employment litigation.
