PCHE Engages SMGG Shareholder Pamela Connelly to Design and Deliver Title IX Process Training

The Pittsburgh Council on Higher Education (“PCHE”), a consortium of colleges and universities in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area, has engaged Pam Connelly, a Shareholder at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky, to design and deliver a Title IX training program.  Pam is an experienced civil litigator, an employment lawyer, and an education lawyer with the unique experience of having served at a university as an executive administrator and in-house litigation counsel for nearly 18 years.  Pam has deep experience with Title IX, as well as with issues of due process, free speech, and the creation of policies, systems and practices that are compliant and mission driven.

The program is designed to aid in preventing and responding to sexual misconduct that violates Title IX, ensuring fair, equitable and non- discriminatory processes, and complying with the new regulations, as well as federal and state law. The program specifically addresses the training requirements set forth in the new federal regulations that take effect on August 14, 2020.
