Laura Beth Gutnick
Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky (SMGG) is proud to recognize that our colleague and shareholder, Laura Beth Gutnick, has been elected as President of the Board of Trustees of the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children (WPSBC).
Ms. Gutnick has served for many years as WPSBC’s Vice President and has been a trustee for 19 years.
“The Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children is very meaningful to me. My mother was a teacher at the School, and so from a very young age, I became familiar with the School and its students,” said Gutnick.
“I feel privileged to have served on the Board for many years now, am excited about assuming the role as President, and look forward to continuing the School’s mission of providing excellence in education in a caring and nurturing environment.”
SMGG’s President, David Strassburger, says “Our firm’s mission includes being dedicated to our community. There is no better example of that than Laura’s lifelong dedication to the Western Pennsylvania School for Blind Children. That revered institution is in good hands with her leadership.”
WPSBC, located in the Oakland section of the City of Pittsburgh, was founded in 1887 and provides individualized educational, medical and therapeutic services to infants, children and young adults with blindness and visual impairments.
SMGG, founded in 1919, is one of Western Pennsylvania’s oldest and most enduring law firms, serving individuals, businesses and government clients with a variety of legal services. SMGG has offices in Downtown Pittsburgh, Beaver County and Westmoreland County.
