David Strassburger Named Pittsburgh Lawyer of the Year in Media Law by Best Lawyers

The Best Lawyers in AmericaⓇ have selected SMGG’s David Strassburger as Pittsburgh Lawyer of the Year for 2024 in Media Law. Attorneys are selected annually through a detailed peer review process, based on the recommendations and evaluations of leading lawyers in the industry.

This marks David’s 15th year of recognition by Best LawyersⓇ, having first been named in the annual awards in 2007. This year, in addition to being selected as a Lawyer of the Year, he was honored by Best LawyersⓇ in seven different practice areas: Commercial Litigation, Construction Law, First Amendment Law, Litigation – Construction, Litigation – First Amendment, Litigation – Labor and Employment, and Media Law. 

David has been a leading figure in the Pittsburgh legal community and at SMGG for many years. He is a former President of the firm, the current chair of our Litigation Practice Group and was recently appointed as SMGG’s Chief Diversity Officer. We are proud to celebrate his leadership and his accomplishments together with those of all of the SMGG attorneys who were honored by Best LawyersⓇ this year.
