Alan T. Shuckrow Named Best Lawyers® 2027 Municipal Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Pittsburgh

Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky is proud to announce that Alan T. Shuckrow has been named Best Lawyers® 2027 Municipal Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Pittsburgh.

“Lawyer of the Year” honors are awarded annually to only one lawyer per practice area in each region, based on exceptionally high peer feedback, making this a distinguished recognition.

Alan is a Shareholder at SMGG with extensive experience advising and representing municipalities and other governmental entities throughout Western Pennsylvania. His municipal practice includes representing townships, boroughs, authorities, and counties on a broad range of issues, including zoning and land use, labor and collective bargaining, the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, the Pennsylvania Right-to-Know Law, and sewage and water matters.

His experience in municipal law extends beyond his legal practice. Alan previously served as an elected member of the North Allegheny School Board and as a member of the McCandless Zoning Hearing Board. He also previously chaired the Allegheny County Bar Association’s Municipal and School Solicitor Section, giving him a well-rounded perspective on the legal and practical issues facing local governments.

Alan has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America® for Municipal Law, Land Use and Zoning Law, and Education Law since 2019.
