Beginning January 22, 2017, the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will require employers to use the 11/14/16 edition of Form I-9, which verifies the identity and employment authorization of new employees. Although employers can use the 03/08/13 edition until January 22, why not start the year with the new form and avoid confusion. (FYI – Edition dates are found at the bottom left corner of I-9.)
