Jillian F. Zacks, a director of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky, represents professionals, business owners and other individuals of varying levels of net worth in the preparation of tailored estate plans. Ms. Zacks has a concentration in the area of special needs planning providing comprehensive services which may involve the preparation of supplemental or special needs trusts, powers of attorney or becoming a guardian of an adult disabled individual through an Orphans’ Court proceeding. Ms. Zacks also provides analysis of the use of life insurance products within estate and business succession plans, including irrevocable life insurance trusts.

In addition to her estate planning practice, Ms. Zacks represents both individual and corporate fiduciaries and beneficiaries in litigation matters. She administers estates from death through estate closing, ranging from high net worth estates to insolvent estates.

Ms. Zacks is active in the community providing educational seminars on topics such as special needs planning and transition to adulthood for individuals with a disability. She has addressed Autism Connection of PA, Woodlands Foundation, Arc of Westmoreland County, Allegheny Valley School, Office of Intellectual Disabilities, Allegheny General Hospital and the Watson Institute.  Due to her efforts and commitment to the autism community, Ms. Zacks was awarded the prestigious Temple Grandin Award in 2013 by the Autism Connection of Pennsylvania.  She serves on the Board of Directors of ARC of Greater Pittsburgh, Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Pittsburgh and The Friendship Circle of Pittsburgh.
