Adam Ennis is an experienced litigator with more than thirty years representing businesses and individuals in a wide variety of complex commercial litigation. He regularly handles matters in federal court, state court, and arbitration settings. Adam’s practice spans general commercial litigation, construction and real-estate-related litigation, and energy litigation.

Adam has successfully handled cases involving partnership breakups, minority shareholder claims, issues arising out of mergers and acquisitions, and contract disputes of all types. His construction litigation experience involves representation of owners and contractors in claims arising from the erection of shopping centers, hospitals, residences, factories, and oil and gas facilities. He was first-chair trial counsel in a matter involving boundary disputes and adverse possession claims. He also handles title issues, eminent domain, and oil and gas royalty disputes.

Adam works with clients across multiple industries, drawing on his extensive trial experience to develop strategies that account for both the legal issues and the business interests at stake. His clients have included small business owners, property owners, contractors, technology companies, banks, and commercial lenders. In addition to his courtroom work, Adam frequently represents clients in commercial arbitration proceedings and serves on the American Arbitration Association’s Panel of Arbitrators. Adam is committed to giving back to his community, with a particular passion for fostering leadership and encouraging civic engagement among the next generation through his roles as an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and as co-chair of Diller Teen Fellows. He was a member of Leadership Pittsburgh Class XXXVI. He has offices in the firm’s downtown headquarters and its Wexford, PA office.
