Bankruptcy and Commercial Restructuring - Mr. Krieger has represented a variety of secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Some of his representative experience includes:
- Representation of a financial institution in the bankruptcy workout of a large credit secured by commercial real estate;
- Representation of commercial clients in the prosecution and defense of preference and fraudulent transfer actions, and in various types of claims litigation;
- Representation of unsecured creditors committees in cases involving debtors in the health care and construction industries.
Mr. Krieger has a particular interest in assisting clients in the acquisition of distressed assets and businesses and in the workout of troubled complex structured finance transactions.
Business and Corporate - Mr. Krieger has represented a variety of established and emerging business clients, including representation of clients in the steel, timber, entertainment and real estate industries, where he has provided advice regarding corporate law and governance issues, contracts, commercial law, financing and transactional matters. Mr. Krieger has litigation experience in both state and federal court, and with AAA commercial arbitration.
Real Estate - Mr. Krieger's work focuses on the acquisition, sale and development of commercial real estate, and in the litigation of matter involving real estate, including lender liability, quiet title, eminent domain and mortgage foreclosure proceedings.
Community and Public Service - Mr. Krieger has been elected as a member of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, for the 57th Legislative District; taking office in January 2009.
During the current session, he will be serving on the following House committees; Environmental Resources and Energy, Judiciary, State Government, and Liquor Control. Mr. Krieger will also be serving as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Crime and Corrections.
Mr. Krieger, his wife and their four children reside in Delmont, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Prior to attending law school, he served in the United States Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer.
