H. Yale Gutnick is the senior shareholder with the law firm of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky, which has offices in Pittsburgh, Greensburg, and New Brighton, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Gutnick has a national practice spanning his 42-year career, and he is admitted to 24 federal courts, nine state courts, and the District of Columbia, either permanently or pro hac vice. He has built an enduring reputation for his work in complex civil and criminal litigation, and in media and entertainment law.

He serves on the boards of directors of nine companies and brings board-level vision and strategy to these roles. Among them are Calvary, Inc.; Richard M. Scaife Publisher, Inc.; Trib Total Media, Inc.; Trib Real Estate Company; RMS Holding Company; Trib Holding Company; Daily News Real Estate Company; NewsMax Media, Inc.; and Mercer Lime and Stone Company.

Mr. Gutnick often is engaged in high stakes--high profile matters where he serves as a spokesman for clients who are under the scrutiny of the news media.

Mr. Gutnick for many years has held the highest rating for lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell, a national register for attorneys, recognizing his professional standards and ethics as well as his legal ability. He also is named in Who's Who In America and Who's Who In American Law.

In 1969, Mr. Gutnick entered the private practice of law when he joined the firm of Rose, Schmidt and Dixon in Pittsburgh. He became a partner at Rose, Schmidt in 1974. Then, in 1978, he became a partner with Strassburger & McKenna, the predecessor to the law firm of today.

Mr. Gutnick began his legal career in the Honors Program with the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., where he was a trial and appellate lawyer from 1967 through 1969 in the United States Attorney's Office and in the Antitrust Division and the Internal Security Division of the Department of Justice.

Active in the legal profession, Mr. Gutnick is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the District of Columbia Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Arbitration Association, the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.
