David L. Pollack is a shareholder with the Pittsburgh office of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky, where he concentrates his practice in business law. He joined the firm in 2008 in the combination with Gefsky and Lehman, P.C.

Mr. Pollack's broad practice experience includes mergers and acquisitions; business and investment structuring; federal and state taxation; tax-exempt organizations; and charitable gift, estate, and business planning. His clients include closely-held for-profit and nonprofit organizations and individuals.

Professional

A graduate of Yale Law School, Mr. Pollack is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, and Allegheny County Bar Association. He also serves on the board of directors of the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council.

Community Service

Through his relationship with the Arts Council, Mr. Pollack provides pro bono legal advice for arts organizations and artists. Mr. Pollack's community service extends to other nonprofit organizations as well. He provides pro bono consultation to nonprofit organizations through LawLinks, a Robert Morris University program that pairs experienced attorneys with nonprofit organizations.

Mr. Pollack has given presentations on a variety of topics, including CLE presentations on nonprofit taxation and nonprofit organizations and seminars on legal issues affecting start-up companies through the Duquesne University GATE program.

Personal

Mr. Pollack and his wife, Avery, live in Pittsburgh and have three daughters, Elisabeth, Mollie, and Samantha.
