Christopher J. Azzara is an associate with the Pittsburgh office of Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. Mr. Azzara was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in October 2006. He was certified to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania in November 2006.
Mr. Azzara received his law degree in May 2006 from Duquesne University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Azzara traveled to Rome, Italy where he studied Canon and Roman law and learned the intricacies of the laws of Rome and the way they apply to the Vatican and the Catholic Church. Mr. Azzara also took place in the Duquesne University School of Law Securities Arbitration Practicum which allowed him to gain extensive experience in the area of securities law and litigation. This practicum allowed him to work hands-on with clients and represent them in their broker-dealer fraud claims.
While at Duquesne, Mr. Azzara was the justice (president) of the Egan Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, Law Fraternity International, and was also a member of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society.
Prior attending law school, Mr. Azzara received his B.A. in Political Science from Fairfield University located in Fairfield, Connecticut in 2002. While at Fairfield, Mr. Azzara was a four-year member and two-year captain of the Fairfield University ski team.
Mr. Azzara is a member of the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, the Allegheny County Bar Association, and the Allegheny County Young Lawyers Division.
Mr. Azzara is a native of Watertown, Connecticut. He currently lives in the Borough of Baldwin with his wife, Lori.
