Biography

Laura Beth Gutnick, a shareholder at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky in Pittsburgh, has handled more than 100 jury and non-jury trials in a wide range of practice areas, including civil, criminal, intellectual property, entertainment, media and family law. Ms. Gutnick focuses her practice on DUI, juvenile crimes, expungements and white-collar crimes. From 1993 to 2003, she was an Assistant District Attorney for Allegheny County.

Ms. Gutnick also has a background in Russian law and culture. She was awarded her bachelor of arts degree in Russian language and studies in 1993 from the College of Wooster. In the summer of 1996, Ms. Gutnick attended the Moscow State University School of Law, researching the Russian legal system and comparative law. She also studied at Kuban State University in Krasnodar, Russia, in 1991, where the curriculum was taught entirely in Russian.
