Jeremy P. Rudkin

Jeremy P. Rudkin is a Shareholder at Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky. Known for his attention and commitment to his clients, Mr. Rudkin concentrates his practice on corporate and real estate related matters.

Mr. Rudkin’s real estate practice focuses in the areas of real estate development, leasing projects, acquisitions, and sales, including the sale, leasing, and purchase of condo development projects, office buildings, manufacturing facilities, shopping centers, and apartment complexes. Mr. Rudkin’s real estate experience also includes negotiating and drafting commercial and residential real estate purchase and sale agreements, residential and commercial leases and related agreements, property management, tax assessment appeals, title issues, drafting easements, secured real estate financings, landlord/tenant disputes, and Local Economic Revitalization Tax Act District (LERTA) residential/commercial tax abatement applications. Mr. Rudkin also routinely represents developers in forming homeowners and condominium associations in accordance with the Pennsylvania Uniform Planned Community Act and Pennsylvania Uniform Condominium Act, as well as homeowner/condominium associations in business matters.  Mr. Rudkin is also a Pennsylvania licensed title agent and overseas all aspects of commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Mr. Rudkin also advises established and emerging businesses on a broad range of general corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, entity formation, structure of business entities, succession planning, securities offerings and compliance, commercial transactions, master services agreements and other various corporate contracts. Mr. Rudkin has counseled numerous clients through the formation and structuring of new entities and business ventures, and has experience in drafting and negotiating limited liability company agreements, partnership agreements, and other organizational documents, and various issues arising throughout a company’s life cycle.

Prior to joining Strassburger McKenna Gutnick & Gefsky, Mr. Rudkin practiced for five years as a real estate, corporate, and financial services litigation attorney in the Pittsburgh office of two national law firms.

Mr. Rudkin earned his J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law in 2011.  While at Duquesne, he served as a Judicial Extern for The Honorables Donald E. Machen and Kevin G. Sasinoski, both with the Allegheny Court of Common Pleas’ Criminal Division.  Mr. Rudkin graduated from Indiana University in 2007, earning a B.S. in Science and Kinesiology.  Before practicing law, Mr. Rudkin worked at a large sports and entertainment agency, where he assisted in representing professional basketball players in contract negotiations and sponsorship deals.

Mr. Rudkin is Pittsburgh born and raised, residing within the city.  When not practicing law, he enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, traveling, attending sporting events, and playing basketball and golf.

  • Representation of a property developer in the development of a condominium building project in excess of $7M, including acquisition, formation, zoning, leasing, public offering and declaration matters, and sale of residential condominium units.
  • Represented various landlords and tenants in the leasing of office buildings and retail, and successfully negotiated long term leases for those clients.
  • Represented various residential property owners in real estate tax assessment appeals, residential leases and sale of their property.

  • Represented real estate developers in connection to the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance Act (LERTA) residential/commercial tax abatement applications.
  • Represented lenders in drafting and negotiating of loan documents for property acquisitions, construction projects and refinances.
  • Represented a lender in connection to a $5,000,000 construction loan for the development of a  storage facility.

  • Successfully represented a commercial landlord in a lease to a production services and studio development company.
  • Successfully represented a commercial tenant in negotiations of a long-term lease of a gym. Represented the same tenant in updating its membership and personal training agreements.
  • Successfully represented a commercial property owner in the sale of business assets and real property spanning four different properties and to three different buyers.
  • Successfully represented a landlord in connection to renegotiating new office and retail leases for every tenant in a commercial building.
